Rules of The Community

There are thousands of poetry  and writing forums/communities on the internet that thrive on chaos and personal conflict. Bashing and slandering others for their own personal glory for what ever reason they think is fit or out for revenge for what someone else did to them. PCLA is not and will never be one of them! So before you join this community think twice because we take appropriate action against those that behave this way in our organization.

Our rules all have reasons, and we expect them to be followed. If you cannot follow them, do not apply. If you do not write, do not apply. If you cannot get along with others, do not apply.

PCLA is a strong, friendly, and supportive family community of writers, and if you cannot contribute to that, do not fill out the registration form to join.

Owner and Founder of PC/LA - Shannon Wendler
Lead administrator of PC/LA -  Amy Boyer

Anything posted to the PC/LA boards may be deleted by Shannon Wendler or her staff without any notification if it does not comply with the rules of the PCLA Community. This includes your original posts, your replies, and any graphics you choose to include in any postings.

PC/LA is a peaceful writing community, our goal here is to provide a place for writers all over the world no matter what genre you write in, a chance to share your work for feedback and comments. The rules of this community are plain and simple they must be  abided. Therefore that means that our staff members will enforce these rules.  If you cause a problem, you will be banned promptly without notification, and you will not be invited to return.

This community is the offspring of many things that you will see here. One is the publishing house "Literary Angels Publishing Inc." we look for unknown writers everyday! You do not have to be a great poet  or writer to join PC/LA. We look for many things in our writers, and current level of skill is only a small part. You must have potential to improve, not just a little, but a great deal of potential, as well as the drive to realize that potential.

You must be willing to be a part of the community, which includes posting and replying on a regular basis. How can we grow as a writer if comments and feedback are not offered? We want the writers here to grow and learn with their work.

You must be willing to follow the Terms of Service of PCLA.

You must understand that in PCLA, certain requirements exist regarding membership, and you will be expected to comply with them promptly and without argument.

Our golden rule that must be followed: Be respectful and thoughtful of all your fellow members/writers. For each post you make you must reply to two other posts.

Plagiarism is NOT allowed in this community and will not be tolerated. We do report copyright infringement.

Do not harass members or anyone else. If you make or even hint at a "slam" to another member in your poetry, you will be banned from the board for two weeks. If it happens again after that, your membership will be permanently revoked. There is absolutely no excuse for this sort of behavior and it will not be tolerated. The same goes with reporting on another organization or website make sure you have your facts straight and it is accurate. You can sue for slander!

You do not have to post on a daily basis but you must post on a weekly basis. Logging in to show your last log on date DOES NOT keep your account at PCLA intact. You must interact in the community. This is why the community was built and this is why we are here and that is to share our work and be part of a community. We have these rules so we can keep PCLA active and the member wanting to come back and participate if there is no interaction there is no reason to return.

If you are placed on warn level by a moderator they always send an email through the warn level system so that you know the reasons and why. If you are inactive for more than 30 days you will be placed on a warn level this will result in your posts and replies to be approved by a moderator. Why do we do this? So we can monitor and make sure you are following the rules mentioned above. If you are placed on a warn level approximately 3 times with in a 6 month time frame your account will up for deletion at the sole discretion of the staff team.

If you post anything regarding a PCLA member, Staff member, or another organization which we find to be inappropriate, inflammatory, or antagonistic, or slander, the post will be removed, and you will be banned pending investigation.
